Wogan Comes Out Of The Savile Closet. Too Little & Far Too Late.

Just in time for the run up to this years hypocritical bunch of celebs cashing in on the early pantomime which is the BBC’s Children in Need, Sir (please remember the knighthood) Terry Wogan has come out attacking Sir (please remember the knighthood) Jimmy Savile.

Wogan, who famously fueled the “Icke is a nutter” campaign by uttering the well rehearsed line, “they’re not laughing with you, they’re laughing at you” is now banging on about how he had a hatred of Jimmy Savile and how his crimes were an open secret at the BBC, oh really Sir Terry Wogan ! Remind me again why you received a knighthood?

In an article published in the Mirror, Wogan recalled a celebrity lunch with journalists revealing that it was common knowledge in the industry what Savile was up to.

“I was sitting at a table having lunch and Savile was sitting one up from me, and also up from me was Jean Rook (the legendary columnist)

“And Jimmy Savile got up to go to the loo, and she looked across at me and said: ‘When are they going to expose him?’

And I said ‘that’s your job.’ And nobody ever did,  even though everyone had heard the rumours.”

Nope, nobody ever did, including you Wogan, which in my book makes you just as bad as the rest of them. Gambaccini’s excuse was that he was just a junior  DJ and Savile was too powerful; doesn’t really apply to you Sir Terry Wogan!  You stand there year after year twisting the guilt button on the great British public to donate cash they can ill afford, knowing full well that the shameful corrupt corporation you are working for is covering up foul crimes taking place within the very building you’re standing  in. And let’s not forget, Savile wasn’t just some dirty old man who liked to touch up a few under age girls as he is often portrayed in the MSM. He was a predatory paedophile, into young boys as will as girls, dead bodies, and not just for his own use. The vile pervert was a high level pimp of young children and at the center of a paedophile ring which goes all the way to the top, and beyond.

wogan hellWhat is really sickening about Wogans remark, telling the now dead Jean Rook “that’s your job” is that he seems to think that makes it OK. Any respect I may have had for Wogan, and to be honest it wasn’t a lot, is gone forever. They all knew what Savile was up to and did nothing. Wonderful Catholic morals Sir Terry.

But it does make you wonder why the likes of Wogan kept schtum.  I’m not of course suggesting that he was implicated in any way, except by dint of keeping quiet.  To make out it was Jean Rooks responsibility and not his is totally unacceptable.

In the article, he digs an even bigger hole by defending Stuart Hall, and the ageist treatment of women at the BBC. I think it’s time to find yourself a little Irish meadow Terry.

Sir Terry Wogan speaks of his hatred of Jimmy Savile and says his crimes were open secret at BBC

Veteran TV and radio legend Sir Terry Wogan has spoken of his hatred of Jimmy Savile and how his crimes were an open secret at the BBC.

The 75-year-old broadcaster has told of how he despised Savile and how his horrific legacy of child abuse has “poisoned” the BBC.

He said: “He always struck me as creepy. I’ve talked to people and not one of them has said: ‘I really liked him.’”

The Children in Need host recalled a celebrity lunch with journalists revealing that it was common knowledge in the industry what Savile was up to.

“I was sitting at a table having lunch and Savile was sitting one up from me, and also up from me was Jean Rook (the legendary columnist)

“And Jimmy Savile got up to go to the loo, and she looked across at me and said: ‘When are they going to expose him?’

And I said ‘that’s your job.’ And nobody ever did,  even though everyone had heard the rumours.

“This whole Savile thing has poisoned everything.”

Paedophile Savile preyed on at least 450 children and young people – many on BBC premises as well as dozens who were sick in hospital wards.

The Radio Two DJ says he worked with Savile on Children in Need and Jim’ll Fix it adding: “He had no talent, except for bombast and self-promotion.

“You kind of admired him for doing as well as he’d done, without any talent whatsoever.”

But Sir Terry is more defensive of Stuart Hall who was jailed in the summer for a series of indecent assaults on children describing him as “a good-humoured fella, very ebullient.

“Jolly, hearty, a good broadcaster, a funny man. I’m not trying to excuse him.

“But it will be interesting to see what will happen when all these cases come to court, how many are proved.”

And he is critical of the way he believes the police have conducted the inquiries into high-profile suspects saying: “The police have obviously decided they must ring the press, knock on people’s doors and arrest them in full view.”

Sir Terry, who has worked for the BBC for all his illustrious career, believes the Corporation has become “too big’ but says it is still “the greatest broadcaster in the world.”

But he has little sympathy for older women in broadcasting who have recently protested the BBC is no longer interested in employing them.

“I think a number of people who have been protesting originally got the jobs because of their glamour. It is a visual medium.”

And he adds that the current crop of attractive women presenters like Holly Willoughby and Tess Daly will be “replaced to the next generation of attractive female presenters.”
