Alistair McAlpine Linked Again to Alleged Paedophile Artist Graham Ovenden.

Dear oh dear oh dear, just when you thought it was safe to be seen in your dirty rain coat, poor old Alistair McAlpine’s name is appearing in stories linked to paedophilia again.

Just to get you up to speed on this one if you haven’t been following the story, Alistair McAlpine is a Tory Peer who gave up his seat in the house of lords to avoid paying UK tax. Friend of Maggi Thatcher, when things go tits up, he does a runner and leave us to clear up the mess. Nice one Ali. He was also named as a paedophile in the now defunct Scallywag magazine, and also by David Icke. He, like former prime minister Ted Heath did nothing to legally challenge the claims made by Icke. Teds dead, like Ken Dodds dads dog, but McAlpine isn’t. He did successfully extract a lump of cash from the BBC and ITV for not naming him as a Paedophile, and also threatened to sue Twitter users, but to date I’ve not heard of a single case being brought against anyone.

Why has this story raised it’s ugly head again? well  apart from the fact that it shouldn’t go away, artist Graham Ovenden is currently in court facing charges of paedophilia. Here is a snippet from the BBC

“Truro Crown Court heard Mr Ovenden’s “target of abuse was young girls.”

He denies nine charges of indecency with a child and indecent assault on victims aged between six and 14.

When he was arrested over the alleged abuse of one of the girls, Mr Ovenden admitted he had taken photographs of her – a few of them being “nudies”, the court was told.

‘Very major reputation’

He denied that they were of a sexual nature, which she had alleged.

Prosecutor Ramsay Quaife told the court: “What we (the Crown Prosecution Service) say is that Mr Ovenden is a paedophile, and that he is a sexual abuser of children.”

So why is this linked to Alistair McAlpine, well Ali Macca used to own a collection of erotic work, including “snaps of very young girls in very suggestive poses by Graham Ovenden”

I’m am certainly not going to reprint the images here, but this link to the Tate website gives you an idea.

Here’s a screen grab of the site confirming the sell off of McAlpines collection.

It’s interesting that this story has hit the MSM, but as yet I haven’t seen any of them mention McAlpine! Well done gojam for highlighting it on The Needle today.  Is it still snowing out there?

As a footnote, the reference to Ken Dodd’s dads dog has absolutely no relevance except “Teds dead” made me think of the tongue twister, “Ken Dodd’s dads dogs dead”
