Interesting piece on the Needle today, It centers around around the Ted Heath cottaging story reporting in the Standard in 2007
It concludes with the following paragraph
“One of the things we are all starting to learn recently is that ‘gay’ is Tory code for paedophile. The last sentence has been highlighted because those who have seen the Mary Moss documents will have already realised that there were an awfully large number of Conservative paedophiles who were not only members of parliament but also of the old GLC and local councils.
It would be great if genuine homosexuals would publicly distance themselves from these paedophiles. At the moment they are being used to shield these men.”
I don’t really want to go into the “was Edward Heath a Paedophile” debate, there appears to be enough evidence in the public domain to feel convinced he was. What really jumped off the page was the whole idea that “Gay” may be Tory code of paedophile. I have never been able to understand why “call me Dave” Cameron, when confronted with a so called list of paedophiles in the Alister McAlpine staged event by Philip Schofield, starting spluttering about people who are gay? You remember the one where ITV paid McAlpine a wad of dosh for not naming him, as did the BBC, and yet I still have not heard of one person who was successfully sued by him, and of course he has also never sued David Icke for naming him either, but I digress. What was I saying, oh yes, I have never been able to understand why “call me Dave” Cameron, when confronted with a so called list of paedophiles, talks about a witch hunt, particularly against people who are gay? Was he talking in Tory code?
The whole Savile McAlpine story was not about people who are gay, in the way I interpret the word gay!
Anyway, the article has received a lot of negative comments. People are so quick to defend anyone who wants to brand their sexual preference as gay, that they seem to miss the point completely.
Reading further a response from Mrs Marguerita
“I don’t think political persuasion has anything to do with it. Look at Peter Tatchell, formerly Labour now Greens affiliate, famous gay campaigner. He is now campaigning to have the age of consent lowered to 14 years old. In light of his 1997 letter to the Guardian, reproduced in full below, I am deeply concerned about this. I am also concerned that all his 30,000 followers on Twitter may not be aware of his views on “sex involving adults and children” as expressed in this letter. Mr Tatchell has recently been very keen to stress how much he is opposed to pedophilia. Read his letter and judge for yourselves. Read more
A cold chill crept up my spin when I read that bit. Yes I am old fashioned, anyone who advocates to have the age of consent lowered to 14 has a hidden agenda, and is also, in my opinion a pervert as well!
Then I read the 1997 letter.
“ROS Coward (Why Dares to Speak says nothing useful, June 23) thinks it is “shocking” that Gay Men’s Press has published a book, Dares To Speak, which challenges the assumption that all sex involving children and adults is abusive. I think it is courageous.
The distinguished psychologists and anthropologists cited in this book deserve to be heard. Offering a rational, informed perspective on sexual relations between younger and older people, they document examples of societies where consenting inter-generational sex is considered normal, beneficial and enjoyable by old and young alike.
Prof Gilbert Herdt points to the Sambia tribe of Papua New Guinea, where all young boys have sex with older warriors as part of their initiation into manhood. Far from being harmed, Prof Herdt says the boys grow up to be happy, well-adjusted husbands and fathers.
The positive nature of some child-adult sexual relationships is not confined to non-Western cultures. Several of my friends – gay and straight, male and female – had sex with adults from the ages of nine to 13. None feel they were abused. All say it was their conscious choice and gave them great joy.
While it may be impossible to condone paedophilia, it is time society acknowledged the truth that not all sex involving children is unwanted, abusive and harmful.
Help me here Spivey, because I just can’t find the words to express my feeling about this creepy creature. I’m not sure which part of Mrs Marguerita post offends me more, the bit where he tries to justify sex with kiddies by quoting” all young boys have sex with older warriors as part of their initiation into manhood” or the fact that he supports the Green party, a globalist front for the systematic destruction of the world we love, bring on those lovely carbon taxes, and a big shout out to David de Rothschild as well.
Sorry, it’s just that I have always found Thatchell to be a rather obnoxious nasty character, and after reading that my feelings have only intensified.
“Several of my friends – gay and straight, male and female – had sex with adults from the ages of nine to 13. None feel they were abused. All say it was their conscious choice and gave them great joy.” Yea, right you are Peter, and you want the age of consent lowered to 14 do you, wonder why?
